Kearny Christian Academy was founded in 1981, by the Pastor of City of Hope International Church. Pastor Vincent B. Manzo, believed that God had something better for our children than what they were receiving in our schools. With only a handful of students, Kearny Christian Academy opened its doors. Since that time, Kearny Christian Academy has grown significantly, but our mission and vision remains the same.
We believe that a safe, God-centered environment, where students can feel comfortable to be themselves, is the best atmosphere for education.
We believe that exposure to God through a Christ-centered academic curriculum, caring staff, weekly chapel services and daily bible classes (not merely "religion" classes) can help transform a student's life to become the young men and women that God wants to shape.
We believe that a world class school strives toward academic excellence and diversity of courses.
We believe that a student who enjoys school learns better and works harder.
We believe that a world class school must have a world class athletic department.
We believe that music and the arts are an integral part of a world class education.
We believe that as technology increases in the workplace, education must adapt to it.
While Kearny Christian Academy graduates have gone on to attend some of the country's top universities and colleges and have developed successful careers, including teachers, small business owners, professionals, and civil servants; the success we find truly rewarding is where our graduates are in their walk with the Lord and in their active involvement in serving Him. Our graduates have gone on to be pastors, worship leaders, deacons, ushers, missionaries, youth leaders, authors, song writers, volunteers, community workers and more. We believe that every student who graduates from Kearny Christian Academy has received a life changing encounter in God's presence that will remain with them their entire life.
